S.H.E. Training and Consulting (STC) is committed to assisting families in closing the educational gap, providing ongoing tutorial services, and academic enrichment programs for students K-12. Our enrichment and social emotional learning program seeks the following evidenced-based strategies such as building student resilience, strengthening school and family relationships, mentoring students, and higher academic enrichment.

Our Story
STC was established in May 2017, as a registered LLC in Prince George’s County, Maryland, the second most populous county in the state of Maryland. STC was founded as a way to equip and empower other parents and community members in providing alternative educational opportunities for their students. STC's main purpose is to provide alternative education modalities, while empowering and equipping parent teachers.
Our Mission
Our mission is to assist all families with students in grades K-12 by providing in person and virtual academic enrichment programs to all content areas of education. STC also provides training and tutorial services for parents, teachers, and tutors. We aim to partner alongside educational institutions to support areas of enrichment, improve benchmarks, and facilitate engaging learning opportunities.

Our Results

STC has provided numerous educational and supportive training and community workshops. A few of those include: “How To Identify My child’s Learning Style,” “Making Curriculum Selections,” “Creating An Educational Portfolio,” “How To Supplement Your Child’s Education.”

In 2017-2018, STC provided 1,182 classes teaching English as a second language. Serving 431 international students in China as a global language instructor.

In 2018-2019, STC tutored 23 students in grades 1-6th in all elementary core content subjects.

During the 2020-2021 academic year, STC tutored 47 students in grades 1-6th in all core content subjects. Students received a hybrid mix of in person and virtual instruction.

During fiscal year 2020 and 2021, STC served 260 students K-5, in a community partnership effort with Educare of Washington, DC by providing age appropriate educational enrichment kits. These kits were instrumental in providing robust opportunities of out of school supplemental learning during the global pandemic. STC also provided 260 emergency preparedness kits to families as a part of our community service outreach efforts.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, STC tutored 55 students in grades 1-6th in Social Emotional Learning, Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. Students received a hybrid mix of in person and virtual instruction.​
Our Founder
Chanita Williams holds a M.S.W from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, B.S in Sociology from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, a B.S. in Social Work from Salisbury University, and is a Google Certified Educator. One of her greatest accomplishments however, has been successfully homeschooling her three children for 13 years. With a former background in child welfare and family support services, she has a passion to see families whole and thriving. Chanita enjoys teaching students online and in a traditional classroom. She has taught science, social studies, language arts, math, art, and music in a classical co-op. Chanita is the CEO and founder of S.H.E. Training and Consulting, LLC (STC). STC provides virtual tutoring, training and supportive service to families with school aged children K-12 in homeschool and traditional school environments. We also provide training and engagement workshops for virtual instructors. Our services offer parent planning sessions, training workshops, curriculum selections and creating a successful portfolio review. Chanita has been happily married for 18 years and reside in southern Maryland.
